Ireland’s first independent Irish Whiskey Museum launched recently and I was delighted to be asked to help out with the PR campaign to publicise it.
Founded by serial tourism entrepreneur, Keith McDonnell, this new tourism and heritage attraction has a brilliant location in College Green, opposite Trinity college, and is very thoughtfully laid out with every detail designed to enhance the visitor’s experience.
The Irish Whiskey Museum brings the litany of legends and lore around the history of Irish whiskey to life in the most engaging and memorable ways. And, of course, there’s whiskey. If you like whiskey, you’ll love the Irish Whiskey Museum. If you, like me, can only drink whiskey drowned in hot water with sugar and cloves, you’ll still get a hell of a lot of enjoyment out of your visit – and you can have a glass of wine the museum’s bar instead of the hard stuff
I have a lot of admiration for Keith McDonnell, as someone who is able to identify opportunities for new businesses and who puts all his energy and enthusiasm into making them happen. I wish him and the team the very best with the future of this great endeavour.
We got great coverage for the launch of the Irish Whiskey Museum, thanks to the quality of the place itself and of the event with Irish rugby coach Joe Schmidt.
